SOS Children's Villages Field Officer Jobs in Nigeria

 

28-04-11 - SOS Children's Villages, an organization assisting children without parental care, has announced Field Officer Job vacancies. SOS Children's Villages is in the process of recruiting dynamic individuals to guide and support the work with individual families participating in our programme in Jos (Zawan), and Ibadan.

FIELD OFFICER: Lagos (Ejigbo), Jos (Zawan)

As a Field Offer, you will be responsible for leading the initial assessment of families considered to participate in the programme.

The challenge


Facilitate the preparation of the families' first development plans.
Support co-workers of community-based partner organisations in their work with families
Support the delivery of support services by the programme
Support monitoring & evaluation of the programme
Perform other specialist roles that maybe assigned to you by Line Manager.

Your profile


A degree (or equivalent) in community development, social work, social sciences or other relevant subject.
At least 1 year experience in community development or social service
An understanding of issues facing orphans & vulnerable children
Fluency in one or more of the languages of the target community (ies)
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills (windows, word, excel)
Positive & professional approach: organised, able to work independently and keep commitments.
