11-01-11 - A major beverage company in Nigeria, one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria, Seven Up Bottling Company PLC has announced the launch of its Seven Up Harvard Business School Scholarship. The Seven Up company's announcement states that the scholarship was launched to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
Seven Up is a recognized name and long distance runner in Nigeria's economy known throughout the country for its popular Seven Up, Pepsi Mirinda Seven Up and Mountain Dew drinks.
With bottling plants, distribution centers and manufacturing facilities located across the country, the scholarship award is obviously a move by Seven Up to give back to the society that it has derived so much benefit from over the past 50 years.
According to the release, "Every year a Nigerian, resident in the country, will enjoy the opportunity of top quality education from the pretigious school at no cost. This is in accordance with the company's vision of creating a greener future".

The manufacturing sector plays a prominent role in the Nigerian
