24-11-10 - The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), the parastatal under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Aviation responsible for the control and management of Air Traffic and Air navigation Services in Nigeria has announced Graduate job vacancies in Nigeria.
Safety of air navigation services and meeting international standards are major objectives of NAMA. Nigeria airspace is one of the busiest in Africa with continually increasing air traffic volume. There is obviously a need for people who can be equipped to handle the associated challenges and provide the quality services required in Nigeria's airspace. Interestingly, the announcement indicates aa need for young graduates. NAMA's Graduate job needs are obviously meant to address current operational issues and challenges while building a technical workforce that will ensure sustainability in future.

And the Air Traffic Control Officer Cadets positions appear to be for a Graduate Trainee programme since chosen candidates will undergo training for a fixed period of 24 months. Only candidates that do well during the trainee period will have the opportunity to secure full time employment with NAMA.
